Content and Email Marketing Specialist

Newly created position to join the marketing team! Be the content creator for a multi-channel premium building products brand, as part of a growing business focused on Creating Spectacular Interiors.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, The Content and Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for content marketing. You will build and deliver a content strategy to drive consideration, engagement and conversion across multiple channels including residential, trade, commercial, interior designer, and architects. You are the brand publisher and will develop and implementing the content across the company website and email platforms. This will require you to working closely with other teams across the business to develop content for all stages of the customers journey including content that specifically answers customers questions. You will need to have both strong written and digital marketing skills to plan, develop and produce the content. In this role you will develop the website pages, email campaigns, and establish email automation to deliver personalised content aligned to the customer journey and lead score. This role will be responsible for SEO performance and CRM/Email performance, including conversion numbers and sales metrics to demonstrate ROI.


  • Accountable for overseeing all content marketing initiatives across all channels to drive traffic, engagement and leads that deliver sales and customer retention
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and develop website & email content, style and layout. A minimum of 3 content articles per week.
  • Create and publish a variety of engaging content from both the content plan & on the go requirements of the business.
  • As the primary content writer and producer ensure brand consistency and tone of voice
  • Optimize content to best practice SEO
  • Develop a content editorial calendar, measure and optimize the program on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic supported by the Marketing Assistant
  • Manages digital content hubs for the development of a learning centre
  • Analyse website traffic and users’ engagement metrics to determine ROI & opportunities for improvement
  • Generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using CRM workflows) into converted customers
  • Manage customer database marketing preferences
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements (e.g., spam, data protection, copyright)
  • Stay up to date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention
  • Reporting: interpret/analyse channel, content, and email performance to demonstrate ROI.
  • Effectively manage, coordinate, and develop trusted key relationships with prominent internal and external stakeholders
  • Give regular executive presentations on the program approaches and results.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in marketing, communication, journalism, business, or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in content development, and email, including hands on experience in developing content strategy through to implementation including email development, execution, and coordination.
  • Experience with website CMS, WordPress preferred
  • Experienced with marketing automation, email marketing systems and CRM (Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns preferrable but not compulsory)
  • Has experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager
  • Has interview skills, and is a curious and thoughtful listener
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in time management and prioritising multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Understands how to use data to information all strategic decisions
  • Has a team mentality
  • Video production skills, to film, edit and post content, HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite are highly regarded
