The New Med

When Home Beautiful reached out to feature Intrim Timber Mouldings in their 2022 Style Forecast, they were clear on the vision of how timber mouldings would be used in the trends featuring in 2022 in what they are calling ‘The New Med‘. Think unique pieces on a neutral colour palette and classic European stripes with a burst of sunny yellow as a nod to Europes luxury resorts scattered along the French & Italian Riveria’s.

We see Antique timbers and soft linens, mixed with bold contrasts of colours and textures. The style mixes crisp white with aged character pieces, and uses the layered detailing of Wainscoting wall panelling to add that European inspired luxury and refinement, with large bold Intrim moulding profiles and skirting boards. The white walls and soft breezy layers of whispy curtains remind us of the Medittearean sea breeze and Summer coastal influences.
