Can I change an order once it is confirmed?

When you confirm your order we immediately get started on it, from scheduling the production timeslot, picking the timber, sharpening the cutters to make your profiles. That is all before we even start to run your job through our state of the art machinery, priming or lacquring (if ordered), packing or transporting. What is the lead time and surcharge for custom skirting and architraves/timber mouldings?

Bespoke custom orders have a longer lead time than our Classic range. This is due to the requirement to create the profile drawing, gain your approval, create the custom cutters (and priming template for primed finish). We aim to keep this to only 1 additional day onto our standard lead time  Bespoke mouldings surcharge and a minimum order quantity applies.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to all locations in Australia through a combination of distributors or direct. Contact us directly and we will advise based on your location.

How much will delivery cost?

Cost is based on the weight and goods you have ordered, your location, and whether you will assist the driver hand unload or require a hiab. The cost will be quoted at the time of placing your order.

How big is the truck?

For greater Sydney deliveries we have trucks available in two sizes. Which truck we send for delivery depends upon the size and volume of your order. Ensure you advise us of any access issues, such as narrow or tight streets that may impact the truck’s access to your delivery location. Also, ensure there is sufficient space for the truck to stop and safely unload at your kerbside. Below are the dimensions of our trucks: Hino Truck (big Truck):
  • Weight: 14 tonne
  • Length: 10.5 metres
Iveco Truck (Small Truck):
  • Weight: 4.5 Tonne
  • Length: 8.6 metres.
For country & interstate locations (outside of greater Sydney) If you are outside the delivery area we service with our local trucking fleet, delivery is typically handled via our distributor network and third-party freight providers. The size of the truck they send is subject to their delivery fleet, however, it will be long and large enough to carry your delivery of mouldings of 5.4 metres length. Ensure you advised in advance of any issues, such as narrow or tight streets that may impact the truck’s access to your delivery location. Also, ensure there is sufficient space for the truck to stop and safely unload at your kerbside.

Why do I need HIAB delivery for timber mouldings?

HIAB basically is a crane that is mounted on a heavy, modified truck chassis and is an excellent way of lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting heavy goods to construction sites without any additional equipment. Timber mouldings and wall panelling are generally in 5.4M long lengths, which are bulky due to their size, weight and volume and cannot be handled using tailgate trucks or manually by the truck driver on their own. HIAB are a more efficient solution as they help speed up the deliveries on site and are more cost-effective than paying additional staff to hand unload.

Do you have timber mouldings in stock?

Most of our products are custom-made to order locally in Australia with quick lead times. Intrim essential range of skirting and architraves and VJ Board Pro which are held in stock for the shortest lead time.

Can I pick up the order tomorrow?

Orders are available for collection if at the time of placing your order you specify pickup. Lead times vary based on what you are ordering (refer to our lead time information). You will be advised of the date your order is scheduled for collection when your order is confirmed. You will need to collect your order during the times outlined. It is your responsibility to have a suitable vehicle for the length & weight of your order, and the ability to load it yourself. Cutting down product on our site is not allowed due to OH&S.

Faulty & Returns

Do you accept returns?

Unfortunately, all of our products are custom-made and shipped to order. We cannot offer returns to our entire range including and not limited to mouldings, adhesives, decorative boards as well as wall brackets, jigs, and fixings.  Please ensure your order is correct and complete prior to ordering.

My order has some faults in the timber, what should I do?

Timber is a natural product, and as every tree has slight differences and natural features it is normal to have variations within each piece of timber. Even with care taken during manufacturing and the application of priming some of these natural timber features are still visible and are not considered defects. This can include slight surface chip outs, raised grain, open grain, gum vein pockets, grain splits and more. Inspecting your delivery on arrival, and planning to cut around these natural elements if they are too large to sand/fill. This is why all orders are recommended to have an allowance of 10% for skirting boards and 15% for architraves as a minimum. See the product information guide to learn more about these characteristics below. If your order has damage, or other faults get in touch with our customer care team to assist you at customercare@intrimgroup.com.au or call us on 1800 622 081.

My timber moulding has bowed, what should I do?

Timber is a natural product that expands and contracts with seasonal changes and is affected by the moisture content of the air. It is important to remember that small seasonal changes in timber are considered normal and gaps that open up during dry periods are not considered defects. You can learn more about this in our product information guide. When receiving a delivery, it is recommended to allow the timber to acclimate to the room's internal climate prior to installation.

Can I return my order not used?

Our products are custom-made and shipped to order. Your order is made specifically to your requirements and any unused order might not be useful for other clients and hence cannot be sold further (even if it is in good condition). Hence, we cannot offer returns. Please ensure your order is correct prior to ordering. If you need assistance calculating your requirements talk to our team to assist you.
