WB72

As seen in Three Birds Renovations House 17

Cali Cool with a Contemporary Edge

Introducing the Intrim® Casa Trim Wall Batten WB72 – a stunning new profile inspired by Three Birds Renovations’ House 17, featured in the raked ceiling of the main living and dining area.

While the Birds used a custom two-piece version created specifically for the project, you can recreate the same stylish effect with WB72. This single-piece decorative timber batten is designed for easy installation and can be used on both walls and ceilings to create custom patterns that bring texture, depth, and architectural interest to your space.

With its sleek, linear form, WB72 is the perfect choice for modern, coastal, and contemporary interior styles. Available in primed and raw FJ pine, as well as primed and raw MDF, and American Oak, WB72 measures 285mm wide x 18mm thick.

Frequently asked questions

What types of timber wall panelling does Intrim offer in Australia?

Intrim offers a range of timber wall and ceiling panelling solutions, including wainscoting, wall battens, and lining boards, with styles ranging from classic to modern contemporary, Hamptons to coastal.

How do lining boards work in wall panelling?

Lining boards are narrow timber boards up to 300mm wide that join using a tongue-and-groove system to cover walls entirely. They can be applied vertically with a chair rail for a beadboard Wainscoting or horizontally for a Shiplap look.

What is the difference between concave and half round mouldings in panelling?

Concave mouldings have a semi-circle removed, creating a decorative scallop, while half rounds have a half-circle shape cut out on the back; when placed side by side, each creates distinctive panelling effects on walls or other surfaces.

Can timber panels be used on ceilings?

Yes, many of our wall panelling profiles can also be used on ceilings to create a seamless connection between surfaces.

How high should interior wall panelling be installed?

The ideal height depends on the proportions of the room and the desired outcome. Wainscoting is typically installed at one-third of the wall height, while board and batten can extend to two-thirds or full height for a more dramatic effect.

Is wall panelling suitable for modern homes in Australia?

Decorative wall panels are extremely versatile and can work fabulously in a modern space or home. Modern panelling and wainscoting styles add greater dimension and refined detail to interiors, creating a sophisticated, elegant home environment. Timber panelling also offers a framed feature for displaying keepsakes and picture frames, and is a cost-effective way of hiding damaged plasterboard and increasing the durability of interior walls.

Is wall panelling in Australia expensive?

The cost of wall panelling depends on the application method and level of detail. Traditional raised panel wainscoting is more labour-intensive and requires additional materials, making it a higher-end option. Simpler installation methods, such as direct application, offer a more cost-effective alternative while still delivering a refined finish.

What is the minimum quantity of wall panels you can order?

The minimum order quantity is 10 lengths. We always recommend increasing your order slightly to allow for any wastage or damage. It is the most cost-effective option if you underestimate your requirements, rather than placing a top-up order.
