Nova Vita is a flush finish skirting and door jamb system installed directly to wall framing before plasterboard, allowing plasterboard to finish cleanly onto the skirting profile for a consistent flush result.

About the Nova Vita System

Nova Vita is a flush skirting and door jamb solution designed to sit cleanly between the wall and floor. The system is fixed directly to wall framing prior to plasterboard installation, allowing plasterboard to finish neatly onto the skirting profile without additional trims.

The Nova Vita range includes:

Flush finish skirting profiles
A coordinated 2‑in‑1 door jamb and architrave
Matching profiles designed for consistent alignment across walls and openings

Because the system is fixed directly to framing rather than plasterboard, noggins are not required. Installation follows a similar process to Intrim’s SK800 Shadowline system and can reduce overall install time by up to 30% compared to traditional shadowline methods, depending on site conditions.

Choosing the Correct Installation System

Nova Vita installation will vary depending on the flooring type specified for the build. Two system options are available.

Both Nova Vita systems follow the same core installation sequence:

Set out door jamb openings

Install skirting to wall framing

Install plasterboard onto skirting profile

Set plasterboard joints

Install flooring (2-piece system only)

Install door jambs and hardware

Accurate set-out is critical, as skirting termination points determine final door jamb alignment.

When should Nova Vita skirting be installed?

What is the difference between 1-piece and 2-piece skirting?

The 1-piece system is installed fully before flooring and is suited to carpet and polished concrete applications.

The 2-piece system includes a removable lower section that is installed after timber or tiled flooring is complete.

Does Nova Vita require noggins?

No. Nova Vita is fixed directly to wall framing and does not require noggins, simplifying installation compared to traditional shadowline systems.

When should Nova Vita door jambs be installed?

Door jambs are installed after plasterboard installation and after skirting installation is complete.

For the 2-piece system, door jambs are installed after flooring and lower skirting installation.

How do I choose the correct Nova Vita skirting size?

Nova Vita skirting sizes are based on visible height, measured from finished floor level to the top of the flush finish groove.

The overall profile height includes the ribbed section that is set with plaster. Refer to the Nova Vita table of dimensions for full sizing information.
