Intrim® PR26 timber picture rail can be an effective and inexpensive way to frame wall panelling, wallpaper or fabric, and add interesting detail to walls. Originally used as a feature moulding that pictures could be hung from eliminating damage to plaster, now it finds its greatest purpose as a small decorative feature mould.

Available in 83mm wide and 30mm thick and crafted in a range of timbers and finishes including FJ Pine, and FJ Pine Primed.

This style of moulding is recommended for use in a Modern Contemporary / Art Deco-style interior.

Intrim® PR26 is also available in the Hamptons selections in a box range. A curated collection by renowned Hamptons interior designer and TV presenter, Natalee Bowen from Indah Island. Spanning 5 different types of Hamptons styles including Classic, Country, Coastal, Tropical and Modern. Within each style is a selection of primed timber mouldings to provide the layers and detailing to achieve each specific Hamptons look. The box contains a pre-primed sample of each profile, allowing you to see, touch and visualise the size, shape and style.

Frequently Asked Questions

What height is my picture rail installed at?

This will depend on your ceiling and door height. 300m down from the ceiling or in line with the top of the door architrave is generally recommended however ultimately this is a design choice.

What is a picture rail used for?

To hang pictures from to avoid putting holes into your walls. OR to simply have a decorative design element.

Is a picture rail strong enough to have a hook hung from it to hold pictures?

It should be sufficient subject to adequate installation fixing.

Does my picture rail and architrave need to be the same thickness?

No, they don't.

What style do I select to match my picture rail to my other mouldings?

You can use the style selector guide on our website. A profile with similar details to your picture rail will go together nicely but it really is down to personal preference.
