Carrington House Renovation

This little heritage house, named ‘Carrington House’ by Naomi, is a cottage that has seen better days. It’s history and potential captured Naomi’s interest and heart as the ultimate ‘fixer upper.’ while in total disrepair and some areas unsafe to access, the bones of something special could be seen from the gorgeous sandstone foundations, the brickwork and the chimney, and the great sized yard with plenty of potential.

We’ve followed Naomi on this ‘slow burn’ reno as she reveals room by room the absolute transformation of this home, which breathes new life into it again. Naomi takes us through each room of Carrington House and tells us the Intrim products she’s used, how she has applied them and why she loves them.

Entry/Hallway

This entry/hallway may be small but it’s mighty. It’s the space that someone first steps into and therefore sets the tone for the whole home so deserves some attention. To ensure consistency and fluidity Naomi used our Intrim products throughout this charming house.

Room 4 – Studio / Bedroom 3

In the final room of Carrington House Naomi has used our mouldings to really bring her design studio/bedroom 3 to life. Naomi continued the use of our chair rail, skirting and picture rail to provide space for some lush, grass cloth wallpaper as well as incorporating our skirting around the door and window frame. This room proved just how adaptable our Intrim products are as well with Naomi cleverly integrating Intrim’s picture rail into the IKEA cabinet. Naomi’s creativity and skill completely transformed this cottage, taking us all on the ultimate renovation journey.

Room 3 – Living Room

The living room pushed the design application of Intrim’s products. Creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that has you yearning to curl up on the couch near the fireplace. Naomi was able to get a lot of creative use out of Intrim’s products in this room. Our mouldings were used here to create continuity and consistency throughout the home and especially in this space.

Room 2 – Bedroom 2 

Naomi has once again created a room that is beautiful, timeless and transcends style.  Bedroom 2 is a charming space that is the perfect sanctuary to rest and recharge. Naomi has adorned this room with Intrim mouldings combining functionality and form to create a lovely framework that breathes new life into this home.

Room 1 – Bedroom 1 

Naomi takes us through each room of Carrington House and tells us the Intrim products she’s used, how she has applied them and why she loves them! Starting with Bedroom 1 Naomi chose to use Intrim’s mouldings to create a cohesive look not just in the bedrooms but through the entire home as well. Bringing a bit of design flair that doesn’t take up floor space, Naomi has VERY cleverly used mouldings for both traditional and non traditional applications throughout.
