Modern with a Country twist

This Southern Highlands holiday home owned and designed by Interior Designer Graham Simmonds perfectly treads the line between Modern and Country.

Modern Farmhouse

This Modern Farmhouse, located in the Southern Highlands is a breath of fresh air.Ā Ā Graham Simmonds owner of Gray and Co is a renowned Sydney Interior Designer and retailer and has created a beautiful, simplistic designed home that is warm and welcoming. Graham has very cleverly created this warm atmosphere throughout his home by selecting an array of second-hand furniture which he has restored and reupholstered to give it a new lease on life. It lends this home a sense of character and history which can be hard to achieve in a new build. Graham has also showcased how to apply sustainable practices in a home by purchasing vintage furnishings. A new home doesn’t mean having to buy all new furniture and appliances. Adding a few vintage pieces to a room can take it from sterile to charming.

Entry and Sitting Room

To really ground this home Intrim Mouldings were used throughout, perfectly combining the Modern and Country style through the soft curves of the mouldings. SK552 skirting boards in 135mm and 90mm architraves make quite the statement in this home, adding an element of class.

Kitchen
