Wattle Court’s latest custom build in Allambie Heights brings the laid-back, sun-soaked vibe of Palm Springs to Sydney’s northern beaches. With soft, dusty pastels, curved lines, and clever design details, this home blends mid-century cool with relaxed, modern Australian living.

Usually known for their Hamptons-style builds, Wattle Court took a creative detour on this project—embracing bold colours, playful forms, and a sense of fun, all balanced by thoughtful design choices.

A Design Departure That Delivers

This isn’t your typical Northern Beaches home. With a playful, sun-washed colour palette and curved architectural arches throughout, the design takes inspiration from the desert modernism of Palm Springs while staying grounded in its coastal surroundings. The arches not only soften transitions between rooms but help create a gentle flow throughout the home.

To complement and enhance this flow, Intrim’s SK342 profile was used for the skirting and architraves, including the curved skirting featured in the home office—adding subtle structure and a nod to modern Art Deco styling that ties in effortlessly into the overall look.

In spaces where texture was needed, Intrim’s LB43 Cavetto wall panelling was used to add depth and character. You’ll spot it in the entryway, the dusk rose-toned home theatre, and the master bedroom where a half height panelled wall acts as a soft architectural feature and giving a subtle nod to a retro interior—without overpowering the design.
