Cavetto Wall Feature
A 1980s apartment makeover featuring Cavetto Wall as the ultimate focal point.
This 1980s apartment has received the ultimate makeover. Originally drab and dated with plain concrete rendered walls and an enclosed kitchen. The owners removed a section of the wall between the kitchen and dining/living area and used Cavetto around the remaining wall creating a fresh contemporary-styled open-plan space. One of the bedrooms needed to have access to plumbing so the owners decided to use Intrim Cavetto Wall as well.
“The Cavetto moulding was selected for functional and aesthetic reasons; aesthetically it provided character, softened the 80’s features and added elegance to the space, whilst functionally it allowed for seamless access to the plumbing and helped to transition the lounge/kitchen. We were really happy with the finished result. The cavetto was painted in a satin finish which helped to disperse the light across the curves.” – Analisa, owner.

In the above image, you can just see where the Cavetto has been cut to provide an access panel to the plumbing behind. It blends beautifully into the rest of the wall.
