Mental Health Unit - LED Handrails

Beleura Private Hospital is located in the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria and has been servicing its local community for over 30 years. To service the growing needs of the community a brand new, purpose-built mental health unit was recently added which featured Intrim LED Handrails. The $20 million expansion increases Beleura Private’s mental health care capacity from 32 beds to 48 beds and includes two tranquil courtyards, a dedicated art therapy room and a large dining space. Patients can now access inpatient care, day programs and alcohol rehabilitation in a private, calm and luxurious new setting.

Intrim IHR10 LED Timber Handrails were selected for this project. This handrail profile is ideal for healthcare and hospital applications made from natural timber coated in a clear lacquer UV Top coat that contains an anti-microbial biocide additive. This anti-microbial additive is rated as suitable for Medical and Hospital applications. It provides defence against various harmful bacterial organisms in the environment, making it the ideal choice for healthcare facilities such as Beleura Private Hospital.
